How to Process Kenya eTA Application
Visiting Kenya is now visa-free for all citizenships, thanks to the eTA system. All you need is Kenya eTA (electronic travel authorisation) application which can be processed and received within 24 hours.
Gone are the days of relying on travel agents to handle your paperwork; now, you can easily complete the application process online.
Requirement for Kenya eTA Application
You need four basic documents, which will be uploaded on the application portal.
- Your passport bio data page
- A headshot photograph
- A ticket booking (which doesn’t have to be confirmed)
- Hotel reservation.
Application Process
So, how exactly do you obtain a Kenya eTA? Follow these simple steps:
- Visit the official application website at https://www.etakenya.go.ke/en
- Select the Tourist and Visitor category to begin your application.
- Upload the required documents listed above
- Fill out the online form with your personal information and travel details
- Make payment, submit your application and wait for approval
The Kenya eTA application fee is just about $35 per applicant. The eTA is single entry and is valid for 3 months from the date of issue. This gives you the flexibility to plan your trip to Kenya at your convenience.
Once your eTA is approved, usually within 24-48hrs (weekday), you will receive the eTA in your email.
Take note that the application portal does not require sign in/ sign up, so ensure you provide a valid email at the time of application. You may also copy and save your confirmation url, and use it for tracking and downloading the approval.
