How to Get South Africa eVisa
Getting a south Africa Visa sometimes could be daunting but now, there is a faster and easier way – South Africa eVisa.
When planning a trip to South Africa, there are two primary methods to obtain a visa:
Two Methods of getting South Africa Visa
1. Visa Sticker
This traditional method requires you to submit your physical passport to the South African embassy, sometimes through a processing center such as VFS Global (if you are applying from Nigeria). This method typically takes about three weeks, but it can sometimes take longer due to various reasons such as high application volumes or administrative delays. Once approved, your passport will be returned with the visa sticker affixed.
2. eVisa
The second method, which I highly recommend, is the eVisa. This method is far more convenient and streamlined. It was my go-to the first time I applied for South Africa visa.
An eVisa offers numerous advantages over the traditional method of submitting your passport for several weeks.
First and foremost, it provides unparalleled convenience, allowing you to complete the application process entirely online without the need to physically visit an embassy or consulate. This not only saves time but also eliminates the risk of losing your passport during transit. By opting for an eVisa, you can retain your passports for other essential uses and travel plans, whilst waiting for a visa decision.
