Wonders of eSIM

Limitless Connectivity When You Travel

Embarking on a journey without worrying about connectivity hassles is a game-changer. In this tech-driven era, staying connected on the go has become more crucial than ever. Join me as I spill the secrets of how I manage to stay online 24/7 during my travels with the magic of eSim.

Why eSIM?

No Extra Phones, No Environmental Guilt. In a world where sustainability matters, carrying a stack of physical sim cards just doesn’t cut it. My solution? Embrace the eSIM revolution! No extra phone, no plastic waste, just seamless connectivity. Plus, most modern smartphones, like my trusty iPhone 14 Pro Max, happily dance with eSims, offering more flexibility than ever.

Double the Fun with more than one eSIMs. Two lines are better than one, right? My iPhone hosts up to eight eSIMs, allowing me to effortlessly switch between lines without missing a beat. It’s like having a symphony of connectivity at my fingertips. And I can always delete a sim i no longer need after my travels.

Exploring eSIM Providers: My recommendation Holyfly takes the Crown. While the eSIM market is bustling with options, my go-to recommendation is Holyfly. Why? Because unlike others that nickel-and-dime you by the gigabyte, Holyfly takes the crown with unlimited data. Choose the number of days, and voila, you’re bestowed with limitless data and a phone line. Say goodbye to data anxiety!

And guess what! They have a 24/7 customer service support both on the web and WhatsApp. How cool is that!

Data-Only, but Who Needs Hotspot Anyway? Yes, eSIM is data-only on the specific device, but who’s fretting about hotspotting? With a smartphone and data, you can practically conquer the world. Make calls with WhatsApp, Telegram and FaceTime and for content creation, I practically always use phone apps – the mobile realm is your oyster.  And here’s a perk: leave the laptop at home; the hotel’s Wi-Fi can handle the evening workload.

Alternative Options to Holafly are definitely available on the market. If you do not find your travel destination on Holafly, then you can try Airalo eSim. Airalo has wider network but it is slightly more expensive and does not have unlimited data like Holafly, so I only use it for destinations where Holafly does not have a coverage.

Getting and Installing an eSim

Getting an eSim is easy and how to instal an eSim is equally super easy.

  • Visit Holafly website or download the app from your phone app store
  • Choose travel destination and preferred plan
  • Make purchase and receive your QR code
  • Instal your eSim using the QR code or entering the codes manually. Go to settings >> Scan QR code >> set up your eSim. Your eSim can be installed either before or during your trip.
  • After installation is complete you’re all set to activate your eSIM. Note that this step may take up to 4 minutes and should be only completed once you have arrived at your destination.
